We had a great experience with the Spanish Amigos playgroup. It was a fun interactive learning experience. Señora Jane added a lot of hands-on activities and was flexible with the curriculum to keep the kids interested. Our favorite was the Three Little Pigs play! As a mom, I learned enough to practice at home with the kids too!

Spanish Amigos Immersion Programs
Spanish Classes for Children ages 2 - 9

This progam was launched by a fully bilingual stay-at-home Mom who decided to take her 10 years plus experience teaching immersion style language classes to the next level. No previous knowledge of the Spanish language is necessary.

Spanish Playgroup For ages 2 -6: It’s like circle time…in Spanish. Music, games, stories, crafts, worksheets, and audio-visual aids are just some of the ways children interactively participate in this foreign language immersion experience. Parents stay alongside their children as they learn the language and culture of Spain and Latin America. Children learn to listen, understand, respond, and dialogue in Spanish. Each lesson is theme-based and designed with the varying abilities of the 2 to 6 year old child in mind. Classes are small and limited to 9 students with parent/caregiver.

For ages 5 - 9: The Summer 2008 Program meets July 7 - July 18, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for one hour. Play, learn, speak, read, and wrte in a Spanish Amigos Summer Program designed for the school age child. Parental/Caregiver participation is optional.

Spanish Amigos Immersion Classes are located in Reston VA, at Washington Plaza Baptist Church at Lake Anne convenient to Northern Virginia and the DC Metro Area.

Spanish Amigos Programs offers a schedule of classes open to the general public as well as private classes for small groups and preschools.
